El trabajo de Docencia e Investigación del Departamento de Ciencias de la Computación de la Universidad de Chile, es reconocido como uno de los mejores en Latinoamérica. Esto se refleja en los reconocimientos, distinciones y premios que nuestras investigadoras, investigadores y estudiantes han obtenido a nivel nacional e internacional en prestigiosas instituciones dedicadas a la Ciencia de la Computación.

Recibe "TWAS LACREP Young Scientists Award 2022". Esta distinción fue otorgada por la Academia Mundial de Ciencias, a través de su sede para Latinoamérica y Caribe, LACREP, que lo reconoció como el científico joven más destacado de la región.
Recibe "Test of Time Award". Reconocida con el "Seoul Test of Time Award", que se otorga anualmente al autor o autores de un artículo científico presentado previamente en la World Wide Web Conference. Trabajo "Information credibility on Twitter".
Recibió "Most influential paper award" en la International Conference on Aspect-Oriented Software Development (AOSD). Trabajo “Execution Levels for Aspect-Oriented Programming”.
Recibe Best Theory Paper en la trigésima versión de la Australasian Conference on Information Systems (ACIS 2019). Trabajo de investigación “Business Processes and Flexibility: A Theoretical Perspective".
Recibe reconocimiento a la trayectoria, otrogado por el Colegio de Ingenieros de Chile le otorgó el Premio a la Gestión 2019.
Obtuvo el Distinguished Paper Award de la conferencia International Conference on Program Comprehension (ICPC 2019). Trabajo “Live Programming and Software Evolution: Questions during a Programming Change Task”.
Distinguished Paper Award”en el marco de la conferencia Principles of Programming Languages (POPL 2019). Trabajo “Gradual Parametricity, Revisited”.
Obtiene Premio Salvà i Campillo a la Personalidad Destacada. Este galardón, le fue otorgado por la Asociación Catalana de Ingenieros de Telecomunicaciones y el Colegio Oficial de Ingeniería en Informática de Cataluña.
Premio Capocelli 2019 al mejor artículo de investigación realizado en la Data Compression Conference 2019 (DCC 2019). Trabajo “Tunneling on Wheeler Graphs”.
Recibió reconocimiento Distinguished Paper Award, en la IEEE Working Conference on Software Visualization (VISSOFT). Trabajo “Overcoming Issues of 3D Software Visualization through Immersive Augmented Reality”.

Premio “Raúl Devés Jullian” por parte del Instituto de Ingenieros de Chile. Este reconocimiento se otorga cada dos años al ingeniero chileno que se haya destacado por su esfuerzo y trabajo en la enseñanza de la ingeniería en nuestro país.
Premio SOCHEDI. Otorgado por la Sociedad Chilena de Educación en Ingeniería. Esto por sus aportes a la educación en ingeniería.
