Learn about how the Xbox One was tested before launch. This talk will provide an overview of how the Xbox OS works so that and then discuss what is tested, how it is tested, and why it is tested. Additional topics of discussion include the tools internally developed by Microsoft for testing the Xbox and what was learned through that process. Testing topics for Xbox One include functional testing, performance, reliability, and usability testing.

 

Bernadita Torres Garayar, Software Development Engineer in Test, Operating Systems.
Born in Santiago, Chile, Bernadita graduated from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and worked for a year developing Windows Phone apps before being hired by Microsoft to work on the Xbox One team. Before launch she worked on the Shell Core team, ensuring quality and robustness of the product and she is now on the Xbox Flight team.
